Crumbed Prawn & Chips


500g cooked Tropic Co Tiger Prawns
1 lemon
cup Panko Breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon fresh Thyme Leaves
1 Egg
1 tablespoon Plain Flour
2-3 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Cos Lettuce
1 Lime
Spicy Lime sauce
½ cup Mayonnaise
2 teaspoon Lime Juice
3 teaspoon Sriracha Chilli Sauce
½ Garlic Clove”


Step 1

For the spicy Lime sauce, combine all the sauce ingredients and set aside.

Step 2

Finely grate the zest from half the Lemon. Cut remaining Lemon into wedges and set aside.

Step 3

Combine Lemon zest, Panko Breadcrumbs, Thyme and a pinch of Salt in a dish. Place Egg in a bowl, lightly beat with a fork.

Step 4

Place Flour on a plate, season with Salt and ground Black Pepper.

Step 5

Dip each Prawn in Flour, then Egg, then Breadcrumbs.

Step 6

Heat Oil in a large frypan. Fry prawns for 3–4 minutes, or until they have turned pink all over. Drain on a paper towel.

Step 7

Place a wedge of Lettuce on each plate, top with Prawns and drizzle with Lime Sauce. Add a Lemon wedge for squeezing over.
